In the research on the discovery of new indications for compound Chinese medicine, there are two key scientific issues that need to be addressed. The first type of problem that needs to be solved: How to predict the most likely effective new indications for a compound Chinese medicine based on existing biomedical big data? The second type of problem that needs to be solved: How to predict the most likely effective compound Chinese medicine from the existing tens of thousands of compound Chinese medicines for a disease type selected by the user?
In response to the first type of issues that need to be addressed, the new tool CCMTM proposed for this project can analyze the correlation between medicinal materials, ingredients, and various diseases to predict the most likely effective indication type of compound Chinese medicine, providing a reliable theoretical basis for subsequent validation experiments. In response to the second type of problem that needs to be addressed, the new tool CCMTM proposed for this project can analyze the correlation between medicinal materials, ingredients, and various diseases for the selected disease types by users. Among tens of thousands of known compound Chinese medicines, the highest scoring 20-30 compound Chinese medicines can be selected, and the effectiveness of the compound Chinese medicines can be tested on corresponding cell or animal models.
